Forum on Regulatory Takings in Idaho and Oregon
Proposition 2, “Initiative limiting eminent domain when used for economic development; Defining land use law; and Permitting just compensation for regulatory takings,” a measure that could result in major changes in Idaho land use law, will appear on the Idaho ballot this November. The Boise State University Public Policy Center and Institute for Urban and Regional Planning will host a public forum on the initiative. A similar law passed in Oregon will provide a lens for considering the likely impacts of Proposition 2.
