Professor Alm is the Chair and the Director of Graduate Studies for the Department of Public Policy and Administration, which includes overseeing the MPA (Master of Public Administration) program. In the Master of Public Administration Program he teaches PUBADM 500 (Administration in the Public Sector), PUBADM 503 (Research Methods), PUBADM 541 (Environmental Regulatory Policy), PUBADM 542 (Science, Democracy, and the Environment) and PUBADM 600 (Assessment, which is also the capstone course for all MPA students). Professor Alm's primary research emphasis is in environmental policy with specific attention to the U.S./Canada relationship.
