Professor Alm is an active member of the Department of Public Policy & Administration and the Department of Political Science. In the Master of Public Administration Program he teaches PUBADM 500 (Administration in the Public Sector), PUBADM 501 (Public Policy), PUBADM 503 (Research Methods), PUBADM 541 (Environmental Regulatory Policy), PUBADM 542 (Science, Democracy, and the Environment) and PUBADM 600 (Assessment, which is also the capstone course for all MPA students). In Political Science he teaches POLS 298 (Introduction to Political Inquiry). Professor Alm's primary research interest is environmental policy with specific attention to the science-policy linkage and the United States/Canada relationship.
